LPF Liquid Paint Protection Film

What Is Liquid PPF? The Next Evolution of Paint Protection
Liquid Paint Protection Film is a liquid-applied protection system that cures into a flexible, durable paint protection film directly on the vehicle surface. Traditional PPF, ceramic coatings, and Liquid PPF each serve different needs. LPF offers a modern alternative for vehicle owners seeking seamless coverage, advanced protection, and long-term paint preservation — without cutting on your paint, visible edges, or panel seams. Some vehicle owners prioritize the physical sacrificial layer offered by traditional film. Others prioritize seamless appearance, simplified ownership, and eliminating visible edges, seams, and future film removal. LPF was developed for those owners.

The Technology Behind It

NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ is a proprietary blend of flexible polyurethane and acrylic that cures from a liquid state into a solid-state protection film bonded directly to your vehicle's paint surface.

Polyurethane is widely used in modern paint protection systems due to its flexibility, durability, and resistance to environmental exposure. The acrylic component adds tensile strength — helping the film maintain integrity under long-term UV exposure, humidity, and road stress.

The result is a seamless, invisible barrier that follows every curve and edge of your vehicle — hood, mirrors, door edges, bumpers, pillars — with no gaps and no visible seams.

What LPF Delivers Long-Term Paint Preservation. No Compromises.
The strongest case for LPF isn't that it protects better than traditional film. It's that it delivers long-term paint preservation without visible seams, exposed edges, overlap lines, or future film removal.
10yr Warranty
NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ is backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty as a standalone product. Permanent when stacked with NanoPro Borophene or Borograph ceramic coating.
CARFAX Registered CARFAX Registered
Every NanoPro installation is registered to your vehicle's CARFAX history — documented proof of professional protection that supports resale value.
0 No Seams or Visible Edges
Unlike cut-film installations, LPF cures as a continuous protective layer across complex curves, edges, mirrors, pillars, and body lines. No exposed film edges. No overlap lines. No panel seams collecting contamination over time.
+ No Future Film Removal
Traditional paint protection film may eventually require removal and replacement due to age, damage, or ownership preferences. LPF eliminates the need for future film removal because there is no physical sheet film adhered to the vehicle.
Stackable With Borophene
LPF Accelerate™ can be applied in conjunction with NanoPro Borophene or Borograph ceramic coatings. When stacked, the system qualifies for permanent warranty coverage — NanoPro's highest level of paint preservation.
The Hawaii Problem Hawaii Is One of the Toughest Environments for Automotive Paint
Hawaii is paradise for people. For car paint, it's one of the most demanding environments in the country. Most protection products are developed and tested for mainland conditions. Oahu is a different story.
☀️ UV Index 11+
Oahu regularly hits UV index 11–12 — among the highest in the US. Some protection products can show signs of aging, discoloration, or edge wear over time in Hawaii's harsh UV environment. NanoPro LPF is engineered for extreme UV resistance.
🌊 Salt Air Corrosion
Salt-laden ocean air deposits onto paint surfaces daily across all of Oahu — not just the coast. Salt bonds to unprotected clear coat and accelerates oxidation over time. LPF creates a sealed surface that helps block salt exposure.
🌧️ Acid Rain & Trade Winds
Hawaiian trade winds carry airborne contaminants that can etch unprotected paint over time. Acid rain events on the windward side add to that exposure. LPF provides a barrier between those elements and your clear coat.
🌋 Volcanic Particulate
Vog — volcanic smog from the Big Island — drifts to Oahu and deposits sulfur dioxide particles on paint surfaces. Over time this can cause micro-etching that's difficult to detect without a paint thickness gauge.
💧 Hard Water Spots
Hawaii's mineral-rich water leaves calcium deposits that can etch into unprotected paint surfaces. The hydrophobic surface of NanoPro LPF helps water sheet off before mineral deposits have a chance to bond.
🌡️ Heat & Humidity
Year-round heat and high humidity accelerate surface degradation on unprotected paint. NanoPro LPF bonds chemically to the paint surface — there is no adhesive layer to soften or fail in sustained heat.

A New Category of Paint Protection

NanoPro is the creator and manufacturer of Borophene and Borograph ceramic coatings, and LPF Accelerate™ represents their entry into liquid-applied paint film technology.

LPF Accelerate™ is available to NanoPro Certified Elite installers — not every shop carries it.

When you bring your vehicle to SPP for Liquid PPF, you're working with a shop that has gone through NanoPro's certification process and carries their full product line — including coatings that aren't available to general detailers.

NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ is engineered for long-term durability in Hawaii's harsh UV, salt-air, and high-humidity environment and is backed by a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

The Ultimate Combination Two Layers. One Goal: Long-Term Paint Preservation.
Liquid PPF addresses abrasion, road debris, and physical surface damage. NanoPro Borophene ceramic coating addresses chemical and environmental exposure. Together they cover both categories of paint damage in a single system.

Layer 1: NanoPro LPF Accelerate™

The physical protection layer. The flexible polyurethane and acrylic formula cures directly to your paint as a solid film. No adhesive. No seams. 10-year warranty.

Layer 2: NanoPro Borophene Ceramic

Applied over LPF, Borophene creates a long-term hydrophobic ceramic barrier engineered to resist water, chemical contamination, UV radiation, and environmental bonding. NanoPro is the sole manufacturer of Borophene — a trademarked formula not available from any other brand.

10-Year Manufacturer Warranty on LPF.
Lifetime Protection Program eligibility when paired with Borophene or Borograph.

How It Works The SPP Installation Process
Every vehicle goes through the same process. No shortcuts. No skipped steps.
01 Consultation & Assessment
We review your paint condition, discuss your goals, and recommend the right protection package for your vehicle and how you use it on Oahu.
02 Paint Decontamination
Full wash, iron decontamination, and clay bar treatment to remove bonded surface contaminants. A clean surface is essential for proper LPF adhesion.
03 Paint Correction
Light to medium polishing to address swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation where needed. LPF preserves the paint in the condition it's applied over — we make sure that condition is right.
04 LPF Application
NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ is applied in controlled sections. Flash time is adjusted for Hawaii's humidity — approximately 30 seconds less per panel — to ensure proper cure.
05 Cure & Leveling
NanoPro Enhancement Leveler is applied for a uniform surface finish as the LPF cures. This step is what produces the deep, glass-like clarity in the final result.
06 Final Inspection
Full inspection under controlled lighting before delivery. Every edge, panel, and transition point is reviewed. We don't release a vehicle until it meets our standard.

Questions Frequently Asked Questions
What is Liquid PPF and how is it different from traditional PPF?
Traditional Paint Protection Film is a polyurethane sheet cut to shape and applied to painted surfaces. Liquid PPF — specifically NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ — is applied as a liquid and cures directly into a flexible protective film. Because it is applied in liquid form, coverage is seamless across curves, edges, and complex vehicle surfaces without requiring film patterns, visible seams, or exposed edges.
Why are more vehicle owners considering LPF?
Many vehicle owners appreciate the clean appearance LPF provides. Because the product is applied in liquid form, there are no visible seams, exposed edges, overlap lines, or film transitions. Owners also avoid concerns related to edge lifting, edge contamination, and future film removal that can be associated with traditional sheet-film installations.
How long does Liquid PPF last in Hawaii?
NanoPro LPF Accelerate™ carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty as a standalone product. When paired with a single layer of NanoPro Borophene or Borograph ceramic coating, the warranty becomes permanent. To maintain warranty coverage, an annual inspection is required — carried out by a certified installer within 30 days of your installation anniversary. We handle that here at SPP.
What does a full vehicle Liquid PPF installation cost in Hawaii?
Pricing depends on vehicle size, paint condition, and whether you're adding Borophene ceramic on top. We offer packages from full front end protection to complete vehicle coverage. Contact us for a quote based on your specific vehicle.
Does Liquid PPF change the look of my paint?
When applied correctly, NanoPro LPF is optically clear. Most customers notice their paint looks deeper and glossier after installation. No orange peel, no visible film lines, no color shift. On matte or satin finishes, LPF preserves the texture — it does not introduce gloss where the factory finish didn't have it.
What is CARFAX registration and why does it matter?
Every NanoPro installation is registered to your vehicle's CARFAX history — a permanent record of professional protection work. When it's time to sell, that documented entry can support buyer confidence and resale value in a way that most coating or film brands don't offer.
How do I maintain my vehicle after Liquid PPF?
Regular hand washing with a pH-neutral soap is the primary maintenance requirement. Avoid automated car washes — the chemicals used can be hard on coating surfaces over time. We recommend an annual check-in to inspect film integrity. When stacked with Borophene, the surface sheds contamination more effectively than unprotected paint or standard ceramics.
Do you service all of Oahu or just Honolulu?
Our shop is at 770 Kapiolani Blvd in Honolulu. We also operate a private studio in Kapolei for west side clients — by appointment. We work with clients from across Oahu — Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Mililani, Waipahu, Kailua, Kaneohe, Hawaii Kai, Kahala, and everywhere in between.
How long does the installation take?
A full vehicle LPF installation typically takes one to two days depending on vehicle size and whether paint correction is needed. We'll give you a specific timeline at your consultation. Cure times are adjusted for Hawaii's humidity — we don't skip that step.
